i'm back!

So, I've been gone for a few days, because I was at a wedding in New Orleans! It was quite lovely.

On the fertility front, I finally got my period, so a new cycle is finally here. It was a 61 day cycle; jeez louise. So, this round of clomid was OBVIOUSLY not successful considering I never ovulated. But, onward and upward! At least I finally began a new cycle! Hooray to that!

  1. Hey there! I just had my progesterone levels blood work done on Monday morning-- should know in a few days. From what I understand, if it doesn't show any elevation the Clomid probably isn't working. :(

So I guess we'll see. My period isn't due until maybe next Wednesday to Friday (my last few cycles were about 32-34 days apart, but just a few years ago, I had 28 day cycles that were totally on time.) So I am not gonna over analyze it quite yet-- but... even though this is TMI, I had a drop of blood in my undies last Friday-- it was very strange. Only one other time in my life have I had a 'spot' between cycles, so I don't know what that meant. I've heard that some women spot from 'implantation' of the fetus... Not trying to get my hopes up too much, though. I've done that way too many times.

  2. Oh, and I forgot to make a recommendation for if you ever think you are pregnant: dollar-store pregnancy tests work just as well as the expensive ones. It's impossible to have a false positive (only false negatives) so you could always buy like five of the tests of a fraction of what one test might cost at the pharmacy, and do a 3 out of 5 average!

  3. Good luck to you on the progesterone test! Let me know how it goes. It's so hard not to overanalyze; because you're right- it always leads to getting your hopes up. Good luck to you, and thanks for the tip about dollar-store pregnancy tests!
